A women-only luxury resort has opened its doors off the coast of Finland, and it’s unlike any luxury retreat in the world.
SuperShe Island is a four-hectare retreat with four newly renovated cabins equipped with spa amenities, Finnish saunas, and a host of wellness facilities. The island accommodates all of 10 people, making it a perfect venue for bonding.
The retreat is the creation of entrepreneur Kristina Roth, who is also the founder of SuperShe, a lifestyle blog and networking group that encourages women to connect with, befriend, and energise other women.
Roth was CEO of her own company, Matisia Consultants. She sold her company, set her sights on a new venture, and embarked on a new mission: to bring badass women from around the world together.
“Women don’t enjoy enough together, there’s always been men’s clubs, they play golf, it’s where ideas are made. But when you get a bunch of strong-willed women together, magic can happen,” she said.
The magic started when she bought the island—curiously—after her boyfriend introduced her to the breathtaking Finnish landscape.
SuperShe Island offers something for every woman. Daily wellness activities led by fellow “SuperShe’s” such as yoga, meditation, farm-to-table dining, cooking classes, fitness classes, nature activities, and so much more.
“Women need to spend time with other women. Being on vacation with men can be draining and demanding. We want SuperShe Island to be rejuvenating and a safe space where women can reinvent themselves and their desires. A place where you can recalibrate without distractions,” Roth says.
