Abercrombie & Kent has launched its latest river ship on the Nile.

The new Nile Seray has begun four-night sailings between Luxor and Aswan, with exclusive private visits to the tombs of Tutankhamun and Amenhotep III part of every voyage.

The riverboat accommodates 64 guests across 32 suites, with all meals covered and daily excursions led by A&K Egyptologists. The itinerary visits the tombs of Seti I and Ramses VI on the Nile’s West Bank, Luxor and Karnak temples, and sites in Aswan.

Beyond the temples and tombs, guests can sail aboard a traditional felucca around Elephantine Island, join Egyptian cooking classes and enjoy traditional entertainment on board.

Sanctuary on board

Suites feature floor-to-ceiling windows, while two dining areas offer indoor and al fresco settings. Menus draw on regional and seasonal ingredients and Egyptian culinary traditions.

Facilities include a sundeck swimming pool, canopied seating, a gym and two massage treatment rooms. Contemporary Egyptian artwork throughout the vessel adds a local connection to the onboard experience.

The sailing can also form part of a longer Egypt holiday. Nile Seray features in both A&K’s private ready-to-book Egypt and Nile itinerary and a small-group journey. Reservations are available through Abercrombie & Kent or travel advisers.

Further fleet expansion

Nile Seray joins Nile Adventurer, Sun Boat III, Sun Boat IV and Zein Nile Chateau in A&K Sanctuary’s Egyptian fleet. A sister vessel is scheduled to launch in 2028, extending the company’s nearly five decades of river cruising in Egypt.
