To entice travellers to actively consider the United States for their next vacation, Brand USA, the destination marketing organisation for the USA, has launched the GoUSA TV app, a first-of-its kind connected TV network for travel enthusiasts.

To entice travellers to actively consider the United States for their next vacation, Brand USA, the destination marketing organisation for the USA, has launched the GoUSA TV app, a first-of-its kind connected TV network for travel enthusiasts.
Structured similarly to Netflix, the GoUSA TV app, which is available for free on iOS and Android devices, is filled with content designed to educate and inspire consumers to get out there and travel.
According to Brand USA, this launch is “an extension [its] strategy to immerse audiences in an entertainment-led point of view of the USA” and includes two new programmes.
First, ‘Ask A Local’, which takes viewers across the United States and its territories, with local residents in each destination sharing travel tips ¬- whether it's the most rewarding hiking and fishing in Minnesota or the most thrilling rodeos in Texas.
‘SORTEDfood: Lost and Hungry’ is a series from SORTEDfood, a popular group of British mates looking for exceptional experiences in food. In this series, the travellers traipse across the US in search of great bites, with the only rule that these have to come recommended.
Other features of the app include the ability to watch full episodes and films from the various categories and channels of GoUSA TV; share videos with friends, family, or colleagues; cast videos to other screens using Google Chromecast; and keeping track of own’s favourite videos.
New content will be released each Thursday; in the long-run, Brand USA will expand the library to feature more themes and formats, including series, films and live videos.
