Etihad Rail is embarking on a huge transport project that will link 11 UAE cities by 2026, offering 57-minute Dubai-Abu Dhabi trips.
Azza Al Suwaidi, deputy CEO of Etihad Rail Passenger Services, said the company is focused on developing a world-class passenger experience that combines comfort, reliability and affordability, adopting a “digital tickets first” approach.
As well as connecting Abu Dhabi to Dubai, the 200 km/h rail service with link Abu Dhabi to Fujairah (105 mins] and Abu Dhabi to Ruwais (70 mins).
Onboard, there will be dedicated spaces for work, with trains designed to accommodate 400 passengers
Next up, a high-speed rail project which will connect Abu Dhabi and Dubai at speeds of up to 350km/h, cutting travel between the two cities to just 30 minutes.
