The Disney Adventure, Disney Cruise Line's first ship to homeport in Singapore, will soon introduce Langkawi, Malaysia, as a new port of call on select four-night sailings departing from 31 December 2026.
Disney Cruise Line said the move is aimed at giving guests more choice by combining the line's signature onboard experiences with the opportunity to explore another destination in Southeast Asia.
“The Disney Adventure is always enhancing our offerings and experiences,” a Disney Cruise Line spokesperson told Travel Weekly Asia. “Introducing Langkawi as a day visit on these select four-night sailings gives guests more choice by combining magical days at sea aboard the Disney Adventure with the opportunity to explore another destination in Southeast Asia.”
The cruise line has also announced that new sailings from September to December 2027 are now open.
What guests can expect ashore
Langkawi calls will take place on the third day of the 4N cruise itinerary. The destination, known for its rainforests, beaches and natural attractions, marks the first regional port of call added to Disney Adventure's Singapore-based operations.
Disney Cruise Line will offer a range of shore excursions in Langkawi, spanning nature-based excursions, family-friendly activities, cultural attractions and local craft experiences.
The cruise line works with independent third-party operators to curate shore experiences across different interests and price points. The Port Adventure options will be available from 26 August 2026 at 10pm Singapore time through the Disney Cruise Line website's My Reservations portal and the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app.
Bookings can also be made onboard via the Port Adventures Counter, subject to availability and on a first-come, first-served basis.
Guests opting to stay on board during the Langkawi port day will continue to have access to a selection of dining venues, entertainment and activities.
More itinerary choice for guests
Disney Cruise Line stressed that the Disney Adventure remains “both the journey and the destination”, with the updated itineraries designed to complement rather than replace the ship's extensive onboard offerings.
For travellers who prefer the original format, three-night sailings and select four-night “Magical Days at Sea” voyages without a port call will continue to be available.
All current reservations will receive automatic itinerary enhancements reflected in their booking records; no guest action is required.
Passengers who wish to modify sailings, switch to three-night options, or adjust cabin categories are advised to contact the contact center or travel agent. These changes will be subject to prevailing rates, port taxes, and fare differences.
The cruise line has not announced plans for additional Southeast Asian ports at this stage.
Meanwhile, Disney Cruise Line confirmed it is developing updated training, sales and marketing materials to help travel advisors promote the new Disney Adventure itineraries and experiences.
