Mandarin Oriental Makati, Manila will reopen its doors again come late 2026, marking the luxury hospitality brand’s return to the Philippine capital after its exit in 2014.

Located 15 minutes by car from Manila International Airport, the 98.7m-tall property will sit within the Ayala Triangle Gardens, a two-hectare park at the intersection of Makati Avenue, Ayala Avenue and Paseo de Roxas.

All 275 rooms and suites feature floor-to-ceiling windows, using natural materials, woven detailing and artisanal finishes from Filipino craftsmen for a local touch.

Space is a luxury here, suitable for families and larger groups. For instance, the entry-level deluxe rooms begin at 50 sqm, featuring panoramic city and park views, walk-in wardrobes, and separate bath and shower areas. Guests booked on Club accommodations additionally receive access to the Mandarin Oriental Club Lounge alongside 24-hour butler service.

Five F&B venues serve the hotel, reflecting a mix of contemporary Cantonese, Filipino and international cuisine, craft cocktails and intimate social spaces.

There will also be an expansive spa and wellness floor, spanning 800 sqm inclusive of a 25m outdoor swimming pool, gym, and yoga spaces.

Signature therapies draw on the ancient healing traditions of the Philippines: Hilot, the indigenous practice of therapeutic massage and energy realignment, and Sukob ng Manggagamot, which weaves spiritual ritual with herbal medicine and native botanicals.

On the events front, the 740 sqm grand hall features an eight-metre ceiling, catering up to 1,000 guests. It can also be divided into three halls and paired with a pre-function space. Smaller function rooms are also available.
