Families and guests departing on StarCruises sailings from Hong Kong can look forward to a themed voyage that’s close to locals' hearts, as cartoon pig McDull comes onboard Star Voyager for the school holiday season.
Widely recognised as the de facto ambassador of the Hong Kong animation industry, the homegrown cartoon figure even has a bronze statue along the city’s Avenue of Stars promenade – right alongside Bruce Lee’s statue.
Exclusive to this holiday season, cruise highlights include a musical, themed photo spots across the ship, classic McDull movie screenings, sing-alongs and dance parties, parent-child creative workshops, and meals featuring McDull-themed treats and dishes.
For true blue fans, the McDull adventure kit includes meet-and-greet sessions with McDull and his mother Mrs. Mak, as well as creative activities, interactive games and exclusive souvenirs. This is priced at HK$288 (US$36).
The exclusive McDull-themed entertainment and experiences will be available on Star Voyager sailings from 15 July to 30 August.
These include two-, three- and five-night cruises to destinations including Okinawa (Naha, Ishigaki and Miyakojima), Ha Long Bay, Da Nang, Kaohsiung, Penghu and Xiamen, or the two-night weekend high seas cruise departing Friday nights.
Additionally, guests who book these sailings before 29 June can receive up to 30% off their cruises fares, with the third and 4th fourth children cruising free when sharing the same stateroom.
