The recently opened bike track that loops around Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport has been listed as one of the five best airport bike paths in the world by CNN Travel. 

Quite why anyone would want to cycle around an airport in Thailand – unless you are hooked on the smell of avgas – beats us here at Global Wrap.

Suvarnabhumi Airport opened its ‘exclusively-designed’ bike path, which runs along the flood-prevention barrier circling the airport, in February this year. 

Tourism Authority of Thailand governor Thawatchai Arunyik said: “Apart from promoting health, leisure cycling is one of the best ways for tourists to enjoy the magical sights of Thailand’s attractions, here at Suvarnabhumi Airport or elsewhere in the country.”
