Singapore’s island attraction has loaded up new activities to beat the heat, including special rates for locals – and just in time for the holidays.

Summer’s more fun at Sentosa

Head down to Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) this June for brand new adventures at S.E.A. Aquarium, Adventure Cove Waterpark and Universal Studios Singapore.
From May to August this year, Resorts World Sentosa has lined up an entire line of fresh experiences for kids and adults alike at its various themed attractions, including Adventure Cove Waterpark, S.E.A. Aquarium and Universal Studios Singapore.

To mark World Oceans Day on June 8, S.E.A. Aquarium is raising awareness of ocean soundscapes and the negative impact of sound pollution through “The Noisy Ocean”. Here guests can listen to some of the many sounds – good and bad – that come from the ocean and its marine inhabitants. On weekends and public holidays guests can even participate in a “Celebration of Sound”, a percussion showcase reusing upcycled materials paired with life-sized dancing puppets.

Visitors to the aquarium can also witness first-hand the impact of underwater blasting and drilling in an installation called Sound Box Blasting, or even learn how to protect manta rays at the Open Ocean Habitat. Singapore residents can enjoy discounted adult tickets.

To beat the summer heat – and look good at it – Adventure Cove Waterpark’s Splash Bash features a whimsical photo zone packed with larger-than-life props, or experience the Adventure River and Bluwater Bay transformed into a water battleground.

At Universal Studios Singapore, fans of the Transformers franchise should make their way down from July 5 to August 18 to meet Singapore’s first talking Megatron, the meet-and-greet programmes held at Sci-Fi City. Younger ones can also queue to snap photos with the happy yellow Minions in Hawaiian-inspired outfits, and Sanrio’s famous duo: Hello Kitty and Dear Daniel.

That’s not all. The Universal After Hours programme comes alive on weekends and selected evenings, with local bands, pop-up food stalls and the first-ever Hollywood Dreams Light-Up Parade and fireworks displays.
