Singapore’s great firework spectacular is back after a two-year break.
Star Island Singapore will explode over the Marina Bay city skyline
on 31 December 2022 with an artisanal Japanese firework display never
previously seen in Southeast Asia.
The 70-minute event is being held in conjunction with Marina Bay
Singapore Countdown (MBSC) 2023 and presented by global payment brand
JCB. Sanrio is premium sponsor.
Star Island is a 70-minute fireworks musical extravaganza which,
organisers say, “features larger-than-life pyrotechnics and dazzling
lights, immersive sound and world-class entertainment”.

Cutting-edge technology will bring Japanese entertainment to Marina Bay.
This year’s show includes artisanal “Ghost Effect Shell'' fireworks
which have been designed to bloom in Singapore’s colours, a red-to-white
gradation across the sky.
Come nightfall, ticket holders will experience a futuristic twist on
the traditional Japanese hanabi [fireworks] entertainment show with the
use of cutting-edge technology, experiential show elements and
state-of-the-art sound technology.
Tickets will go on sale on 20 October, ranging from S$88 (US$62) to S$318 (VIP experience).
