Ferry operator TurboJET has announced its readiness to relaunch sailings between Macau and Hong Kong as soon as it gets the approval from the two authorities.

Currently, TurboJET plans to only resume 16 trips every day – eight each way – from the Sheung Wan ferry terminal in Hong Kong and the Pac On ferry terminal in Taipa Island, Macau.

According to TurboJET’s director of the Macau services division, Alfred Ng Sio In, night sailings and ferry services to the Macau Maritime Ferry Terminal would resume “depending on the situation”.

On 4 January, Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, head of Macao Government Tourism Office, announced plans of launching promotional campaigns with ferry and shuttle bus operators to boost tourism in Hong Kong.
