If the thought of paying Bali’s new tourist tax is giving you indigestion, help is on the way.
Bali’s new international hospital complex is on schedule to open in Sanur in the fourth quarter this year.
The medical complex is the bedrock of the new Sanur Special Economic Zone (KEK) which is emerging around the Grand Inna Hotel Bali.
Hotel Indonesia Natour, the subsidiary of PT Aviasi Pariwisata Indonesia, has been named the developer and operator of the Sanur SEZ by the government.
The special economic zone, spanning 42 hectares along the Sanur shoreline, will also include the Sanur Bali Beach Convention Centre, and the Ethnomedicinal Botanical Garden.
The medical facilities include the Bali International Hospital, offering private treatments to international and fee-paying Indonesian patients.
The facility will offer five medical services: Cardiology, neurology, critical illness (ICU), gastroenterology and orthopaedics.
