Changi Airport Group (CAG) has begun redevelopment works on the former Commercially Important Persons (CIP) terminal site, which will make way for a new private terminal and an expanded amenities cluster, slated for completion in mid-2027.

Located at the southern node of Terminal 2, the new private terminal will be jointly operated by CAG and airport lounge operator Plaza Premium Group (PPG).

“Some of today’s travellers seek more than just a comfortable place to spend time before their flight – they are after a personalised premium experience,” said Ang Siew Min, CAG’s senior VP, airport operations development and airport operations services.

The private terminal will feature a deluxe lounge, bar, private suites and bespoke dining experiences, offering passengers an exclusive space to recharge before being facilitated for their flight to boarding gates.

Larger entourages and private gatherings can also be booked at a co-located event space.

Additionally, an expanded Hub & Spoke amenities cluster will offer dining and wellness offerings “steps from the private terminal”, alongside convenient access to Changi’s retail offerings.

This new area will offer fresh dining concepts, as well as wellness and pet-friendly facilities to serve both passengers and local residents.

Anchoring the venue will be Changi’s first covered amphitheatre and open-air plaza, designed to host intimate to mid-scale events.
