Oceania Cruises has released the inaugural itineraries for Oceania Sonata, which has already achieved record launch day bookings within a week of opening on 28 January.

Launch-day reservations exceeded those of Oceania Cruises’ previous new ship, Oceania Allura by 45%, reinforcing the cruise line’s decision to upsize the allotment of high-yielding accommodations from the previous class of new ships.

As the first vessel in the brand's new small ship Sonata Class of four 1,390-guest ships, Oceania Sonata’s inaugural season features 22 sailings from August 2027 through April 2028, spanning more than 90 destinations on voyages ranging from seven to 16 days.

Oceania Sonata’s inaugural season is defined by the cultural diversity and geographic variety of the destinations she visits,” said Jason Montague, referring to the coastal towns of Europe, to ports across the Caribbean, Mexico, and Central and South America.

In line with Oceania’s delivery of fine-dining cuisines aboard, debuting on the Oceania Sonata will be La Table, the only restaurant at sea launched with the seal of approval by the Maîtres Cuisiniers de France (Master Chefs of France).

The vessel will also feature a wider choice of entertainment and social spaces, including the new Opus Lounge, expanded social gathering spaces, and more experiential learning venues such as culinary learning opportunities and LYNC Digital Center.
