Globus has launched a new Small Group Discovery tour in Ecuador, tracing an 11-day route from Quito to Guayaquil. Capped at 24 guests, the itinerary explores the country’s cultural and ecological diversity with boutique stays and curated experiences.
“Ecuador may be compact, but its travel rewards are colossal,” said Chris Hall, managing director Asia Pacific, Globus family of brands.
“We designed this new Small Group Discovery tour from the ground up to showcase the country’s incredible diversity – pairing boutique stays with iconic moments, from the cloud forests of the Amazon to the cobblestones of colonial Cuenca.”
Highlights include:
Quito: A three-night stay at Hotel Patio Andaluz, a 16th-century mansion near the historic centre, plus a behind-the-scenes visit to El Alabado Museum, showcasing pre-Colombian art.
Otavalo: A day trip featuring the Quitsato Sundial Monument, local markets and a family-run weaving workshop.
Amazon Basin: A two-night stay at Casa del Suizo Eco-Lodge, with rainforest excursions led by Quichuan guides.
Andes: Stops at rose plantations, waterfalls, volcanoes, Inca ruins and artisan towns, with overnights at Samari Spa Resort in Baños and Hotel San Juan in Cuenca.
Travellers can also take part in activities such as cacao tastings and Panama hat weaving. The tour includes private transportation and expert Local Guides.
An optional four-day Galápagos Islands cruise is available as an extension.
The new itinerary joins Globus’ Small Group Discovery tours in South America, including Costa Rica and Patagonia.
