The Trump Organization has joined forces with Dubai-based luxury real estate developer Dar Global to develop its first property in the Maldives.
Billed as the world's first "tokenised" hotel development project, the Trump-branded resort will be funded by selling blockchain-based crypto tokens to US retail investors, according to Dar Global CEO Ziad El Chaar.
Located 25 minutes by speedboat from Malé, Trump International Hotel Maldives will have approximately 80 ultra-luxury beach and overwater villas, setting “a new benchmark for privacy, exclusivity, and sophistication”. It is expected to open by end-2028.
This latest hotel is one of Trump Organization’s nearly 10 projects with Dar Global, the luxury property arm of Dar Al Arkan, one of Saudi Arabia’s largest real estate developers. Other locations in the region include Oman, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
