Wynn Macau has opened what it describes as “the first and only Korean medical centre located within a resort hotel in Macau”, at its Wynn Palace property in Cotai.

The facility is a branch of the Blanc de Vie Medical Centre, referred to in the company’s statement as “a high-end beauty clinic brand from South Korea”. According to Wynn Macau the centre is already in operation.

“By introducing high-end medical aesthetic services and chronic disease management approaches to Macau, Wynn Macau Ltd aims to attract new tourist markets,” the company stated. It added that the initiative supports Macao’s aim to develop medical tourism and diversify its economy beyond gaming.

South Korea has built a strong reputation for medical aesthetic services in Asia, particularly popular among Chinese travellers – Macao’s main visitor source market.

This development aligns with Wynn Macau’s commitment to invest at least MOP17.7 billion (US$2.18 billion) in Macao between 2023 and 2032 as part of its renewed gaming concession. Of this, around MOP16.5 billion (US$1.98 billion) – or 93.2% – has been earmarked for expanding international markets and non-gaming ventures.

The company was later required to increase its pledged investment by 20%, due to Macao’s 2023 gross gaming revenue exceeding MOP180 billion (US$21.6 billion), a benchmark that triggered a contractual clause.
