Thatcher Brown has returned to global luxury travel network, Virtuoso, this time as special advisor on cruise to COO Brad Bourland.

In the newly created role, Brown provides senior-level strategic oversight to grow Virtuoso’s cruise vertical, with emphasis on strengthening global collaborations that push Virtuoso’s worldwide membership.

Welcoming Brown back on board, Bourland said that the move underscores Virtuoso’s aim of “shaping a truly global cruise partnership model…to connect our partners with the right member agencies and advisors, reach more high-value travellers, and drive long-term growth”.

Brown was formerly Virtuoso’s senior VP, global products from 2024-2025, and most recently held the CEO role at Crescent Seas the last six months.

He also held executive appointments across other cruise names, including for Marc-Henry Cruise Holdings, joint owner and operator of Four Seasons Yachts; Explora Cruises; Dream Cruises; and Costa Cruises.

Lori Sheller, VP of global cruise, will continue to manage day-to-day execution of Virtuoso’s cruise business.
