Adora Cruises has announced its return to Japan this summer aboard the Adora Magic City, after spending the first half of 2026 focused on South Korea and Southeast Asia.

The China-based cruise line had shifted its 1Q 2026 Japan-bound itineraries following a diplomatic spat between Beijing and Tokyo in late 2025.

The Adora Magic City is the only vessel in the Chinese fleet to include port calls in Japan this year.

Updated summer itineraries will offer four- to six-night sailings from Shanghai Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal, with stops in Japan and South Korea.

Looking ahead, the 5,246-guest vessel will also include a Japan stop this winter in December.

Meanwhile, other cruise lines bringing Japan back into its itineraries include Royal Caribbean’s Spectrum of the Seas for its summer-to-autumn programme, as well as MSC’s Bellissima which returns to Shanghai in August with Japan and Korean sailings through late October.
