Thai Airways International has appointed Chai Eamsiri as the CEO to
lead the airline's post-pandemic business transformation and
rehabilitation plans come 1 February 2023.
Eamsiri, who is currently the airline's CFO, was selected from 53
candidates by the CEO Selection Committee, said the company in a
statement.
With 37 years of experience and knowledge in Thai aviation industry,
including an extensive financial and accounting background, Eamsiri has
played a vital role in Thai Airways’ rehabilitation plan implementation
and transformation in the past two years.
His appointment comes as the Thai national carrier undertakes next
steps in its restructure to build trust and confidence among the
airline's creditors, passengers and business partners, with a 2024
completion target.
