The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) announced a restructuring of
its Deputy Governor positions, effective from 1 October 2023. This move
reflects the organization's commitment to optimizing its leadership team
for enhanced tourism promotion and development.
Chattan Kunjara Na Ayudhya, formerly the deputy
governor for marketing communications, has been appointed as the deputy
governor for International Marketing – Asia and the South Pacific. In
this new role, Chattan will spearhead marketing efforts targeting Asian
and South Pacific markets, forging partnerships to attract tourists from
these regions.
Somradee Chitchong, previously the deputy governor
for Administration, is now the deputy governor for the Domestic Market.
Her responsibilities will encompass strategising and executing domestic
tourism campaigns, promoting travel within Thailand among Thai nationals
and expatriates.
Nithee Seeprae, formerly the deputy governor for
Digitalisation, Research and Development, will now serve as the deputy
governor for Marketing Communications. He will oversee the planning and
execution of comprehensive advertising and public relations campaigns
across various media channels to maintain Thailand's positive image as a
preferred tourist destination.
Rujiras Chatchalermkit has been promoted to the
position of deputy governor for Administration. She previously held the
role of executive director of the Marketing Services Department.
Teerasil Tapen, who previously served as the
executive director of Europe, Africa, and the Middle East Region, has
been promoted to the position of deputy governor for Digitalisation,
Research and Development. In this capacity, Teerasil will oversee the
Digital and Information Technology Department as well as the Research
and Development Department.
The TAT also maintains the following Deputy Governor positions:
- Numfhon Boonyawat - deputy governor for Policy and Planning, a role she has held since 2019.
- Siripakorn Cheawsamoot - deputy governor for International Marketing
– Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and the Americas, a position he has
held since 2022.
- Apichai Chatchalermkit - deputy governor of Tourism Products and Business, serving in this role since 2021.
These structural changes within the TAT's leadership team aim to
further strengthen Thailand's tourism industry, ensuring it remains a
top destination for travellers worldwide.
