Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. (NCLH) has appointed Ewen Cameron, a cruise industry veteran with over twenty years of travel credentials, to its management team in China as director of operations, effective February 2.

In his new role, Cameron will oversee strategy and operations, based in the NCLH China head office in Shanghai.

He will work closely with the China team including managing director of China, Alex Yucheng Xiang and Asia Pacific senior vice president and managing director, Steve Odell, as well as liaise with the company’s headquarters in Miami.

Cameron will be responsible for the company’s core business units in the Chinese cruise market including operations, revenue management, sales and strategy, in addition to overseeing governance, controls and reporting structures.

Cameron brings over twenty years of international travel industry experience to the role, having previously held key leadership positions in the cruise travel agency and wholesale sectors, including a nine-year tenure as director of finance EMEA/APAC for Silversea Cruises based both in London and Sydney.

In 2017, the company added Norwegian Joy, the first premium cruise ship designed and constructed for Chinese travellers. The country was Norwegian’s fastest-growing market last year, and momentum is expected to continue with Norwegian Joy sailing her first full year in 2018.

The company’s offices in Shanghai, Beijing and Hong Kong support all three brands in the company’s portfolio – Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises, with a combined fleet of 25 ships.
