Travel and expense management system solution provider SAP Concur has
appointed Carl Jones as managing director for Southeast Asia.
Under his new appointment, Jones will lead a multinational
cross-functional team with sales, pre-sales, client success and cloud
channel partnerships across all of SAP Concur's SEA projects. He will
also take on all client-facing commercial opportunities in the region.
Jones will be the face of SAP Concur for corporate initiatives such
as Climate 21, SAP’s global sustainability program, an initiative that
helps customers understand and minimise the carbon footprint of their
products and operations.
Earlier this year, Jones was made vice-chair of the Global Business
Travel Association (GBTA) Global Sustainability Committee, contributing
to advancing standards and solutions to improve the sustainability
performance of business travel across all three ESG pillars
(Environmental, Social, Governance).
Prior to the promotion, Jones served as SAP Concur's regional VP,
head of strategy, Asia Pacific and Greater China where he was
responsible for furthering SAP Concur’s development and alignment of
regional strategic projects, along with driving the Financial Services
Industry (FSI) enterprise strategy for Asia Pacific.
The travel veteran boasts over two decades of experience in the
industry, with past appointments comprising various regional leadership
roles in Asia Pacific, including Singapore and Thailand.
Before joining SAP Concur, Jones had a stint with American Express
Global Business Travel as VP of global client management and global
business consulting Asia Pacific.
“Many organisations are restructuring and recalibrating themselves
for growth post-pandemic,” said Jones. “It is an exciting time to be
leading SAP Concur efforts in SEA to engage businesses in transforming
corporate travel, spend management and employee experience, while
striving to help our customers achieve their sustainability goals.
