Red Planet Hotels’ Sapporo Susukino South hotel in Japan is accepting reservations ahead of its opening June 2018.

Red Planet Sapporo Susukino South is a 123-room property located within walking distance of Housui Susukino Station and close to a major shopping precinct.

Red Planet's chief executive, Tim Hansing said,  “Red Planet brings the budget hotel sector in Japan to the next level with its tech-savvy and never-ending product innovation.”

Red Planet launched operations in Japan in 2013 with the opening of Red Planet Tokyo Asakusa and Red Planet Okinawa Naha, and continued its expansion with Red Planet Nagoya Nishiki which opened its doors in October 2017. The group will open an additional hotel in Sapporo's central district by mid 2019.

Red Planet says its heavily used mobile app has transformed guests' experience with features such as an “In-Stay Mode” which enables guests to chat directly with the hotel's front desk even before arriving at the hotel.

In addition, guests using the app have access to lists of top local attractions, Uber and Grab services, and discounts at more than 200 restaurants located near Red Planet Hotels.

Red Planet has also continued its growth in the Philippines, opening its 12th hotel in the country, Red Planet Quezon Aurora Boulevard - a 167-room property located next to Cubao's shopping and dining scene, and close to Cubao Expo.
