Hilton will expand its presence in South Korea with the opening of Hilton Garden Inn Busan Gijang in 2028, part of a larger mixed-use development in Busan's rapidly growing northeastern coastal district.
The 111-key hotel will feature an all-day dining restaurant, café and lounge, fitness centre, swimming pool, spa and sauna facilities.
It will be located near Busan’s key attractions, including Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, Lotte World Adventure Busan, Shinsegae Busan Premium Outlets, and prestigious golf courses.
Hilton Garden Inn Busan Gijang will join the group’s existing estate of 11 trading and pipeline hotels in the country.
“As Busan Gijang continues to emerge as a hub for tourism and healthcare, we see strong demand for well-positioned, high-quality accommodation, including Hilton Garden Inn,” said Clarence Tan, senior vice president, development, Asia Pacific, Hilton.
The development comes as Busan pushes growth plans amid strong leisure demand, including medical tourism, with the city targeting 100,000 foreign medical visitors by 2030.
