As the world’s largest sporting event will soon descend upon the planet, cruise lines around the world are also getting into the action by securing the rights to broadcast the FIFA World Cup matches (11 June – 19 July 2026) on their ships.

StarDream Cruises, parent company of StarCruises and Dream Cruises, is among the operators that have secured rights to broadcast the matches onboard. Guests sailing on Genting Dream, Star Navigator and Star Voyager will be able to watch live games via Sport 24 Special Event Channels while cruising to destinations across Asia.

“Bringing the FIFA World Cup 26 onboard allows guests to experience the excitement in a truly unique way at sea, where sport, travel and celebration come together,” said Michael Goh, president, StarDream Cruises.

Onboard celebrations will include live match screenings in selected venues, powered by Sport 24, as well as themed activities such as sail-away parties, football quizzes, mini games and recreational events designed to recreate the lively tournament atmosphere at sea.

As part of the celebration, Genting Dream will also feature a special collaboration with adidas, presenting themed onboard activations and fan experiences from June to August, including interactive zones and exclusive merchandise.

Meanwhile, Royal Caribbean, an Official Miami World Cup 2026 Host City Supporter, has confirmed that it will broadcast all 104 matches across all 30 ships in its global fleet via Sport 24.

Other cruise operators offering onboard World Cup coverage include MSC Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line, Virgin Voyages, Princess Cruises, Holland America Line, Seabourn, Cunard and P&O Cruises.
