Maldives’ latest luxury development Fari Islands set for Q4 launch

SINGAPORE – Fari Islands, a new luxury resort development in Maldives, is set to launch this year with luxury hospitality brands Capella, The Ritz-Carlton and Patina in tow.

Real estate developer Pontiac Land announced yesterday (4 March) that development will be launching in Q4 2020. The archipelago is situated in North Malé Atoll, a 50-minute by speedboat from Malé International Airport.

The development will feature three luxury hotels, a marina and village campus to for employees, anchored on nature, craft and social experiences.

The three luxury brands have been handpicked for their “tailored approach to hospitality”. The hotels will be designed by architects Studio Mk27 (by Marcio Kogan), Kengo Kuma & Associates, and Kerry Hill Architects that will offer a balance between spaces for social and quiet.

Guests can also pay a visit to the island’s social hub, Fari Marina, which will have a vibrant beach club, boutiques and upscale food and beverage options.

Developer Fari Island intends to bring in collaborations with creatives in disciplines ranging from art, music, culinary arts, photography, fashion and design.

Resort employees will stay at a purpose-built village campus – a first of its kind in Maldives – that is designed with recreational facilities and amenities. It will also offer employees opportunities for development as well as social activities.

More details on Fari Islands will be announced later this year.
