Set on the cliff of Nusa Dua in southern Bali, with views of the Indian Ocean and tropical gardens, the five-star Apurva Kempinski Bali will offer 475 rooms, suites and villas, with 60% of the accommodation featuring private plunge pools.

Kempinski will unveil The Apurva Kempinski Bali in the fourth quarter this year, the company’s second hotel in Indonesia.

Set on the cliff of Nusa Dua in southern Bali, with views of the Indian Ocean and tropical gardens, the five-star Apurva Kempinski Bali will offer 475 rooms, suites and villas, with 60% of the accommodation featuring private plunge pools.

Melbourne-based architecture firm Denton Corker Marshall has worked with Trivium Design Group to give the property an Indonesian-inspired design aesthetic.

Facilities include an ocean-facing spa and fitness centre, a 60-metre swimming pool, kids’ pool, and a family club, plus five dining venues and a Cigar and Shisha Lounge for those who like to relax after dinner.

The Apurva Kempinski Bali offers a 1,076 square metre pillar-free and ocean-view grand ballroom, meeting rooms, The Apurva beachfront wedding chapels, and 2,200 square metre oceanfront lawn for outdoor gatherings and events.

“The Apurva Kempinski Bali will present itself as a majestic open-air theatre in which the guests will have the opportunity to experience the wonders of this unique island,” says Michael Henssler, chief operating officer Asia, Kempinski Hotels.

Kempinski is expanding across Asia. It current operates one hotel in Indonesia—the 289-room Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta.

The Bali property will launch during the same period as the Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore, which will be converting from three heritage buildings.

The 157-room Kempinski hotel will be part of the mixed-use development Capitol Singapore within the restored Capitol Building and Stamford House.
