The Dusit Thani Bangkok has reopened following a significant transformation, part of the larger Dusit Central Park development.

The revamped flagship hotel of Dusit International, located opposite Lumpini Park, hosted an official reopening on 27 September 2024.

Chanin Donavanik, vice chairman of the board of directors and chairman of the executive committee, became the first guest to check in, a tribute to his mother, who originally launched the hotel in 1970.

The hotel's refurbishment includes luxurious suites and club rooms with panoramic views of Lumpini Park, alongside one of Bangkok's largest event spaces. The Napalai Grand Ballroom now features a 55-metre-wide window and an eight-metre-high ceiling, offering scenic park views.

Dining options at the hotel include The Pavilion, serving a variety of Thai, Chinese, and international cuisine, and Dusit Gourmet, offering artisanal bites. Additional restaurants, including collaborations with international chefs, and a multi-level rooftop bar, are set to open soon.

Devarana Wellness, the hotel’s urban wellness sanctuary, will also launch shortly, offering tailored wellness experiences to guests and locals.

Mr Donavanik commented, “Just as my mother envisioned the original Dusit Thani Bangkok as a beacon of Thai hospitality on the world stage, the new Dusit Thani Bangkok aims to elevate that legacy.”

The Dusit Central Park project, valued at THB 46 billion (US$1.27 billion), will include luxury residences, an office tower, a retail centre, and a 11,200 square-metre roof park, with further openings scheduled for 2025.
