Kayak is fully launching its free corporate travel solution, Kayak for Business.
Kayak first announced the product in November 2019, shortly before the pandemic began and then brought it out in soft launch in February of this year.
The company says more than 3,000 companies have signed up to use it in the last three months, primarily small- and medium-sized business in industries such as manufacturing and construction.
As of today, Kayak for Business is available in 60 locations around the world and 28 languages.
“When travel came to nearly a full stop in 2020, it gave us an unexpected runway to think about the future of business travel,” says Steve Hafner, Kayak CEO.
“Business travellers and their employers in a post-Covid world will demand even more flexibility, competitive prices and easy ways to blend business and leisure travel.”
Kayak says in the last few months the product has been updated to offer expense integration, price prediction and discounted corporate rates. The company says “Kayak for Business brings the leisure travel experience to the outdated interface of the corporate travel world...”
In partnership with research firm YouGov, Kayak conducted a survey of 1,400 US consumers that found 58% think business travel is back or will be back by the end of 2021 and one-quarter of American business travellers want a job where they can travel for work.
