The much-anticipated Universal Beijing Resort, the world's largest of its kind in the world, is set to kick off its trial operation on 1 September.
Seven themed areas including the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Transformers Metrobase, Kung Fu Panda Land of Awesomeness, Hollywood, WaterWorld, Minion Land, Jurassic World Isla Nublar, and the CityWalk, as well as several other scenic spots are expected to greet more than 10 million visitors annually upon the park's official opening.
During the trial period, Universal Studios Beijing theme park, Universal CityWalk Beijing, The Universal Studios Grand Hotel and NUO Resort Hotel will welcome only invited guests.
Based on feedback, Universal Beijing Resort will then adjust operational practices and service details in preparation for the yet-to-be-announced grand opening.
Beijing authorities are also planning to develop a special tourist route around the much-anticipated Universal Studios Beijing, plotting in the theme park's nearby destinations such as the Songzhuang artist village, the Grand Canal, Taihu town, and the ancient town of Zhangjiawan.
More hotels and homestay inns are expected to be added to the area to support the area development, according to the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism.
