Royal Princess has completed a two-week drydock in Singapore, adding 20 cabins and introducing the Sanctuary Collection, a premium accommodation offering that combines selected cabins with enhanced amenities, personalised service and dedicated dining.
The refurbishment marks the first step in a wider fleet rollout of the Sanctuary Collection across five Royal Class ships, Princess Cruises announced. Currently available on Sun Princess and Star Princess, the offering will also be introduced on Discovery Princess, Enchanted Princess, Regal Princess and Sky Princess as part of a multi-year fleet modernisation initiative.
On Royal Princess, passengers can book the collection across several accommodation categories, including suites, selected mini-suites, deluxe balcony and balcony cabins, and newly constructed oceanview cabins.
The offering includes access to the Sanctuary Restaurant on deck 6, reserved for collection guests. From April 2027, it will also include access to the Sanctuary Club, a dedicated top-deck retreat.
Completed from 16 to 30 October, the refit added six mini-suites, seven oceanview cabins, two interior cabins and five single interior cabins.
The ship’s central atrium, the Piazza, gains O’Malley’s Irish Pub and an expanded Bellini’s cocktail bar. Other changes include upgrades to the casino and Effy jewellery boutique.
The 3,595-guest ship departed Singapore on 1 November for a nine-night cruise calling at Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok and Ko Samui. It will depart again on 10 November for Sydney, arriving on 25 November after stops in Lombok, Darwin, Yorkeys Knob and Brisbane.
Royal Princess will then be based in Sydney for its 2026–27 Australian season, with voyages to Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific, alongside shorter coastal getaways.
