As Singapore's Jurong Bird Park prepares for its 3 January closure next year, the attraction is offering a special promotion deal of S$10 for local residents.
Singapore’s national icon the Jurong Bird Park’s year-end campaign, A Flight to Remember, is coming to a close on Jan 3, 2023 but before that local residents can enjoy the place or walk down memory lane for an admission fee of $10.
Bookings for the promotional admission has started for entry dates between 19 November 2022 to 3 January 2022.
Carnival games and rides such as Celebration Caw-nival, Roll-a-Ball and Hit-a-Target, as well as hawker fare served from 1970s-style pushcarts and a Nostalgic Signature Tour, are among its activities to mark the park’s five-decades long history.
Guides, who have worked there for years, will take families around the oldest wildlife park in Singapore as part of the Nostalgia Signature Tour where they can hear their stories and learn about the old architecture.
Visitors can also get up close with the birds through feeding sessions at African Treetops and Waterfall Aviar.
During its 50 years of operation, around 41 million visitors walked through the gates of Jurong Bird Bark.
In the second quarter of next year, the birds and their animal care teams will call Bird Paradise their new home, alongside other parks - Singapore Zoo, River Wonders and Night Safari - at Mandai Wildlife Reserve.
