Travel advisors have a new way to package one of Macau's biggest drawcards. From 15 July, City of Dreams Macau will introduce a new House of Dancing Water Show & Backstage Tour Package, giving visitors exclusive, first-time access to the backstage world of the internationally acclaimed aquatic spectacular.
Visitors will explore key areas of the theatre normally closed to the public, including the underground diving facilities and the 17-million-litre performance pool – equivalent to more than five Olympic-sized swimming pools – while learning how major stage elements such as the Golden Boat and Dream Pagoda are operated.
The experience also includes access to an 18-metre-high platform above the stage, offering a performer's-eye view of the theatre and insight into the intensive training, backstage coordination and rapid costume changes that take place behind every show.
The backstage tour lasts about 30 minutes and should be booked at least 10 minutes before showtime.
