A new luxury dinner cruise experience set sail in Hoi An this month, presenting a new dining option on the Thu Bon River.

Described as “equal parts signature dinner cruise, private events venue and floating cultural celebration”, the Merchant River Cruise is an extension of The Merchant Restaurant at Namia River Retreat, Hoi An's first wellness-inclusive resort with all private pool villas.

Boarding the cruise at the resort’s private pier, guests will go on a 2.5-hour journey, downstream along riverside villages, quiet islets and Hoi An Ancient Town.

The evening starts with sundowner cocktails and canapés on the open upper deck. Guests then move indoors for a five-course Spice Route inspired set menu, woven with cultural storytelling drawing on the city’s legacy as an ancient maritime trading port on the Spice and Silk Routes.

Four packages are available for the cruise dinner. The classic five-course dinner is inclusive of drinks, juices, kombucha and beers, while the premium experience additionally offers sparkling wine, alongside vegetarian options.
