Travellers visiting Macau have a new attraction to add to their itineraries, with Studio City Macau launching a new 4D immersive flying experience that takes guests through fantastical worlds using motion, cinematic visuals and multi-sensory effects.
Designed by Canadian entertainment experience creator Dynamic Entertainment, Studio City Stardust uses a motion seating system to simulate the sensation of flight. Seats move forward and backward, rises by up to one metre and tilts up to 10 degrees, while 23 speakers, wind, fog and scent effects work alongside the visuals to create a more immersive experience.
Each session accommodates up to 72 guests and lasts around 15 minutes, including check-in, safety briefing, boarding and screening.
The experience is set within a retro-futuristic world where guests become passengers of Stardust Air Tours, guided by a robotic butler named GUS-47 and Ying, the Macau terminal's chief ambassador.
At launch, guests can choose between two flight adventures: Alpha Flight, a high-energy journey through alien canyons, and Mysterious Island, which takes passengers into an ancient world inhabited by dinosaurs.
A height requirement of 100cm to 195cm applies.
The attraction operates daily from 12pm to 8pm. Tickets cost MOP150, with Studio City hotel guests receiving 20% off, while Melco Beyond members receive 10% off.
Located on Level 2 of the West Wing of Studio City Macau, the integrated resort sits in the heart of Cotai and offers approximately 2,000 guestrooms and suites across three hotel towers.
The new attraction adds to its existing line-up of entertainment, dining, retail and leisure experiences, including the world’s highest figure-8 Ferris wheel, the Golden Reel, as well as the Studio City Water Park.
