Scoot, the low-cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, has launched its first flight to Vienna, marking the airline’s entry into the Austrian market. The inaugural flight, TR710, departed Singapore Changi Airport on 3 June 2025 and arrived at Vienna International Airport the following morning.

This new service makes Scoot the only carrier offering direct flights between Singapore and Vienna. The route will operate thrice a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays using Scoot’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.

The flight from Singapore to Vienna takes approximately 12 hours and 5 minutes, while the return flight from Vienna to Singapore is slightly shorter, at around 11 hours and 25 minutes.

Vienna is Scoot’s second destination in Central Europe, following Athens.

At a welcome ceremony in Vienna, Scoot’s Chief Operating Officer Ng Chee Keong, said, “We are excited to launch our inaugural flight to Vienna today and be part of this momentous occasion with our partners who have made this possible. Vienna makes an exciting gateway for travellers from the Asia-Pacific to explore Europe’s rich history and heritage. For European residents, this new route also provides more options for customers to experience the vibrant sights of Singapore and other cities in Southeast Asia. We hope that this new connection helps to bridge cultures and inspire more customers to explore new destinations and create memorable travel experiences."

Julian Jäger, Joint CEO and COO of Vienna Airport, added, “With the new direct connection to Singapore, we are strengthening the long-haul offering from Vienna and are pleased to now also have Singapore Airlines' subsidiary Scoot at the airport.”

The launch of Scoot’s Vienna service aligns with its broader strategy of expanding its long-haul network and building on its presence in Europe. Passengers on board the inaugural flight were welcomed with a celebratory gate ceremony at Singapore Changi Airport and received commemorative items to mark the occasion.
