Starting 20 March 2025, Jetstar Asia will become the first and only airline to operate direct flights between Singapore and Labuan Bajo, Indonesia. The new route will run twice weekly, on Thursdays and Sundays, adding another destination to Jetstar Asia’s Indonesian network, which already includes Bali, Surabaya, Medan, and Jakarta.
Labuan Bajo, located on the western tip of Flores Island, serves as the gateway to the UNESCO-listed Komodo National Park. The park, known for its rugged landscapes, pristine beaches, world-class diving, and famous Komodo dragons, has become a sought-after destination for travellers looking to explore unspoiled natural wonders.
However, Labuan Bajo has long been considered difficult to reach, as most international visitors visiting the area by cruise ships or via a one-hour flight from Bali. With the launch of international flights, including AirAsia’s Kuala Lumpur-Labuan Bajo route in 2024, travellers now have more options to visit this unique destination.
Additionally, Labuan Bajo is home to the newly opened TA’AKTANA, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa. As the first resort of Marriott International’s Luxury Collection brand in the area, the resort offers a blend of modern luxury and authentic Indonesian culture. Drawing inspiration from the region's traditional Lingko rice fields and Manggarai conical huts, TA’AKTANA provides a culturally immersive experience.
The resort features five distinct dining venues, including Umasa, which serves farm-to-table Indonesian cuisine and Taba, specialising in contemporary Japanese dishes. The overwater bar, Maiga!, offers innovative cocktails while the Di’a Spa, inspired by the mystical caves of Labuan Bajo, focuses on holistic wellness treatments.
