Said Kenneth Lee, head of distribution strategy, Cathay Pacific, “New technology protocols such as NDC will enrich our customer’s shopping experience and support our strategy to become a modern retailer, an essential part of our long-term digital transformation strategy.”
By implementing Amadeus Altéa NDC, Cathay Pacific will be able to leverage Amadeus technology by integrating its NDC content seamlessly with the Amadeus Travel Platform. This will give the airline the option to efficiently connect to Amadeus’ global travel seller network as well.
The Amadeus Travel Platform is evolving so it can integrate and consume airline NDC content in a standard way across all Amadeus selling interfaces.
Once the connectivity between Altéa NDC and the Amadeus Travel Platform is finalised, Amadeus will be able to automatically roll out this feature to all Altéa NDC airline customers.
Cathay Pacific has been part of Amadeus’ NDC [X] programme since coming on board with Altéa NDC in 2018.
Amadeus’ NDC [X] programme brings all NDC initiatives together, both as an aggregator and as an IT provider.
