Regent Seven Seas Cruises celebrated the float out of the Seven Seas
Grandeur on 26 January at Fincantieri’s shipyard in Ancona, Italy,
marking a major construction.
The float out ceremony was attended by senior executives of both
companies and featured the traditional breaking of a champagne bottle
against the ship's hull.
The Seven Seas Grandeur will join Regent Seven Seas' fleet as its
sixth ship that is set to embark on its maiden voyage in November 2023
to the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, and across the Atlantic.
The ship's final-stage construction will focus on the luxurious
interiors, including suites, lounges, and restaurants that embody
Regent's Heritage of Perfection.
The Seven Seas Grandeur weighs in at 55,500 tonnes with the capacity to host 746 guests.
The ship will offer some of the highest space-to-guest ratios in the
industry and will feature an array of luxurious accommodations, from the
palatial Regent Suite to the beautifully appointed Spacious Suites.
Seven Seas Grandeur will also house a multi-million-dollar art collection, including a custom-designed Fabergé egg.
Regent Seven Seas Cruises' President, Andrea DeMarco, said that
demand for the Seven Seas Grandeur's sailings are so popular that the
cruise line had to add an additional sailing to the ship's inaugural
season.
