Oceania Cruises is heading to Alaska in 2025 with the extensively
refurbished, 1,250 guest Riviera, and a mission to immerse guests deep
into the heart of the region.
Offering itineraries spanning from 7 to 12 days, the ship will visit
iconic destinations such as Ketchikan, Sitka, Dutch Harbour and the
Hubbard Glacier, while almost 300 shore excursions will be offered,
complemented by a package that includes a shore excursion credit of up
to US$1,600.
Other package inclusions are complimentary roundtrip airfare, airport
transfers, champagne, wine, specialty dining and unlimited WiFi.
Alaska's culinary scene will be explored, with Oceania introducing a
new series of Culinary Discovery Tours for Riviera's 2025 season. These
tours, available in Juneau, Ketchikan, and Sitka, showcase Alaska's
thriving food culture.
Onboard, Riviera has one chef for every 10 guests and seven open-seating gourmet restaurants.
Additional explorations include guided tours by Native Tlingit
experts in Ketchikan, historical insights into the gold rush era in
Skagway, and nature adventures in the vast Tongass National Forest,
known for its stunning mountains, fjords, and glaciers.
Another option is Oceania Cruises' pre- and post-cruise Alaska Land
Programmes, including multi-day experiences in Denali National Park.
Each sailing features a naturalist on board in addition to a series
of guest speaker-style talks that delves into Alaska’s biodiversity, and
for guests who travel with children, the supervised Alaska Explorer
Youth Programme - designed for children aged between 5 and 12 years -
includes activities and Alaska-inspired special events.
“The decision to elevate our presence in the Alaska region was easy,”
said Frank A. Del Rio, president of Oceania Cruises. “Our
well-travelled guests are constantly wanting to explore remote, wondrous
and truly off-the-beaten-track destinations.”
