Dream Cruises marked its 10th anniversary in style last weekend, as Travel Weekly Asia joined a special Singapore–Melaka sailing aboard Genting Dream featuring an exclusive culinary collaboration with Korean chef Tommie Lee – best known internationally as "Chef French Papa" from Netflix's hit series Culinary Class Wars.
The affable chef hosted a cooking demonstration on board, walking guests through the five-course French menu he had curated for the occasion. The result was an relaxed and exquisite dining journey at sea: escargot vol-au-vent, prosciutto with mesclun salad, bouillabaisse maison, slow-roasted veal tenderloin, and a chocolate mousse with dulce de leche espuma to close.
“Food has always been about connection and creating memories,” said Lee, who owns Michelin plate restaurant, Bistrot de Yountville in Seoul. “I’m excited to partner with Dream Cruises for their 10th anniversary and share a specially curated menu that guests can enjoy together during this special milestone.”

While the sailing marked Chef Lee's exclusive appearance, the menu lives on: guests can book the same five-course experience at Genting Dream's specialty restaurant Bistro on upcoming sailings through 3 July 2026, priced at S$90 (US$71) nett per person, or S$132 nett with wine pairing.
The culinary collaboration is one thread in a broader anniversary programme. K-culture takes centre stage across select sailings from May, as Dream Cruises continues rolling out a new slate of programming designed to bring "lots of star power" on board.
