StarDream Cruises is doubling down on its extensive Asian port network and targeted entertainment programming as it sharpens its edge in the regional short-cruise market.

At a recent brand showcase in Singapore, attended by cruise ports and tourism board partners from across Asia, the cruise line spotlighted its two- to five-night itineraries spanning more than 50 destinations across Southeast and East Asia. It also underscored its position as the only cruise operator with three ships homeported year-round in Asia.

Reinforcing its “knowing Asia best” position, Michael Goh, president of StarDream Cruises, highlighted Dream Cruises’ 10th anniversary celebrations, featuring a new slate of programming designed to bring “lots of star power” onboard.

K-culture takes centre stage across select sailings from May through year-end. The line-up includes K-pop girl group Kiiras; fitness and wellness advocate Kim Jaehong – better known as Amotti from Netflix’s Physical: 100; and chef Tommie Lee, aka French Papa from Culinary Class Wars Season 2.

Fans of the cult favourite cooking show can sign up to meet Tommie Lee on the two-night Melaka Cruise from 3 – 5 May, where Lee has additionally curated an exclusive five-course menu onboard for two months.

Amotti will also sail on the two-night Melaka Cruise but will do so from 26 – 28 July, where the former competitive CrossFit athlete will do what he does best – hosting fitness classes, alongside meet and greet sessions.

Korean girl band Kiiras – which means bold energy – will also sail on the two-night Melaka Cruise, from 25-27 October. The six members will deliver their signature pop performances, as well as appear at meet and greet sessions.

Adding to the anniversary line-up is Forever Broadway, launching on Genting Dream in June 2026 in collaboration with Broadway Asia International.

“Our partner in New York and its team are rehearsing the programme now. I have seen the script and shorts they have filmed and I can’t wait for the show to be launched,” Michael Goh, president of StarDream Cruises shared with Travel Weekly Asia at the 26 March event.

Commenting on the expanding repertoire of entertainment on board, Goh added: “We are not defined by a single theme – we bring together a dynamic mix of international entertainment, culturally inspired programmes and diverse onboard offerings to deliver well-rounded journeys for guests of all ages.

These new highlights build on an existing entertainment roster across Genting Dream under Dream Cruises, alongside Star Navigator and Star Voyager under StarCruises.
