Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has achieved a significant milestone by taking delivery of Norwegian Viva, the second ship in the revolutionary Prima Class, at the Fincantieri shipyard in Marghera, Italy on 3 August.

This delivery marks the arrival of the second of six ships in the Prima Class, set to debut through 2028.

Norwegian Viva sets itself apart by introducing the at-sea debut of the Tony Award-nominated production 'Beetlejuice'. Additionally, the ship features the immersive game show experience, Press Your Luck Live, offering guests an opportunity to participate in the classic game and win prizes.

The ship offers unique features like The Concourse, an outdoor sculpture garden in Ocean Boulevard, and the Metropolitan Bar, a sustainable cocktail bar showcasing a 16m-long interactive art piece designed exclusively by contemporary British digital artist Dominic Harris.

Norwegian Viva is expected to embark on its maiden voyage on 10 August 2023, followed by Mediterranean and Greek Isles itineraries before her official Christening ceremony in Miami on 28 November 2023, when Latin GRAMMY award-winning artist Luis Fonsi, serving as godfather to Norwegian Viva, will be officially naming the ship. The ceremony will also be attended by notable personalities like The Queen of Latin Pop, Paulina Rubio, "Saturday Night Live" cast member Marcello Hernandez, and singer Pedro Capó.

Following the christening, Norwegian Viva will operate Caribbean voyages from December 2023 to March 2024, with San Juan, Puerto Rico, serving as its homeport. The ship will call on several Caribbean destinations, including Tortola, British Virgin Islands; St. John's, Antigua; Bridgetown, Barbados; Castries, St. Lucia; Philipsburg, St. Maarten; and St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands.
