Singaporean youths are taking the travel world by storm, with
Skyscanner's latest report revealing an eyeopening trend: nearly half
have embarked on their first self-funded journey before turning 18,
highlighting a growing appetite for independent exploration among the

In a survey of 1,000 individuals aged 18-25 in Singapore, Skyscanner discovered the following findings:
- 94% of young adults have either embarked on their first solo journey or plan to do so soon.
- Majority (58%) of young travellers planned their first trip

- Travel isn't just for leisure; 65% use it to explore potential
places to live or work in the future, indicating a forward-thinking
approach to exploration and a desire to broaden their horizons.
- Adventure is key: Nearly half are willing to explore
off-the-beaten-path destinations and embracing spontaneity in travel
with last-minute trips and flexible plans.
- Safety (58%) and budget (56%) are top concerns for young travellers.
- Average airfare spending for the first trip is S$940, and they’re
willing to invest in travel experiences despite financial constraints.
