The Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) is holding the second edition of its National MATTA Fair this year from 5 to 7 September 2025 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), Kuala Lumpur.

The 57th edition of the fair will feature the MATTA Eco & Sustainable Tourism Initiative (MESTI), which focuses on wildlife conservation, marine conservation, and cultural and historic preservation. According to MATTA, the initiative is designed to provide “a structured pathway to a cleaner, kinder, and more conscious way of exploring Malaysia.”

Four MESTI pavilions will host more than 40 booths, including exhibitors such as RHB Bank, Sabah Tourism Board, Penang Global Tourism, Resorts World Genting, Royal Selangor, AMPSPA, Easy Motorbike and Pos Malaysia. Participating organisations will showcase eco-friendly products and initiatives.

Highlights include RHB’s Ocean Harmonic Initiative, which promotes marine conservation and sustainable tourism practices. The fair will also feature cultural and historical preservation efforts across Malaysia.

“Through MESTI, we learn the tales that make Malaysia Truly Asia, through time-honoured traditions, and the green and blue landscapes that define our nation, MESTI makes way in preserving these treasures, inspiring sustainable practices for generations to come,” said Nigel Wong, president of MATTA.

Admission to the fair is free. Opening hours are from 10am to 9pm. Shuttle services will run from KL Sentral and Sunway Putra Mall to MITEC, with multiple parking options available nearby.
