HICAP is headed online this year amid the ongoing global impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic, but the longstanding event, like in previous years, will continue to offer unequalled opportunities for Asia Pacific's hotel investment community to network, cut deals and strengthen existing relationships.
Taking place October 21-23, 2020, the newly developed HICAP virtual programme will include plenary session programming pertinent to all hoteliers, as well as region-specific breakout sessions and numerous networking opportunities.
With recovery currently permeating nearly every conversation in the travel and hospitality industry, attendees can expect a robust line-up of topics that address the outlook for the airlines, economy and hotel performance; interviews with global CEOs and travel leaders; and views from the boardroom; across the three-day programming.
As well, plenary sessions will look at the role of technology in recovery, while breakout sessions will put the focus on money, opportunities and the region's key tourism destinations in the post-Covid environment.
For instance, the money track will delve into equity developing recovery blueprints, securing profits post pandemic, risk sharing and debt issues.
The opportunities track, meanwhile, will cover areas such as capturing new revenue streams, deal strategies and seeking best options in the new norm.
As well, the spotlight track will take a deeper look at how the major destinations of Australia/New Zealand, China, Japan and Thailand are coping with the crisis so far.
The 2020 programme can be viewed here, with further details to the full line-up of sessions and speakers expected to be announced soon. Interested participants can register here.
In its 31st edition this year, HICAP is produced by the Northstar Travel Group in association with the BHN Group.
