Hyatt Regency Koh Samui has opened its doors on 5 July, marking the brand's first on the Thai island.

Occupying 3.2 ha of private coastline, the resort features 140 guestrooms, including 24 suites and villas, all of which look out to sea views from private balconies.

Billing itself as a “vacation gallery”, the design-driven resort features an array of visual highlights, including a showpiece lobby, the longest lobby arrival point in Koh Samui, and a collection of pools each cascading down from the main pool on the upper deck of the resort.

On top of the coastal landscape and protected forested zone cocooning the property, the Gallery of Eight is a collection of sites in the vicinity specially selected for their photogenic potential.

Other amenities consist of a spa, four restaurants and bars, Camp Hyatt for kids, and a series of pools including a plunge pool and one for the kids with a slide — all leading to the beach.

Planners can book venues including the Regency Ballroom accommodating up to 100, or lead guests out at the 97sqm lawn for alfresco events.

Hyatt Regency Koh Samui is located in North Chaweng, about 10 minutes drive from the international airport.
