Tourism Malaysia has appointed Norliza Md Zain as the new director of its Singapore office, effective from 14th October 2024. She succeeds Salahuddin Mohd Ariffin, who completed his tenure last year.
With 19 years of experience at Tourism Malaysia, Norliza has previously worked in several divisions, including Production, Advertising, and International Marketing.
She also led the Shopping Secretariat Malaysia and the Lifestyle Unit within the Package Development Division. Notably, she played a key role in establishing Tourism Malaysia's branch office in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
Norliza expressed her honour and delight at the opportunity to promote Malaysia to the Singapore market, aiming to strengthen tourism ties between the two countries.
Tourism Malaysia Singapore remains focused on restoring pre-pandemic tourist traffic levels and encourages innovative ideas from the travel industry to support this goal.
