The grand opening of 180-key Centra by Centara Hotel Bangkok Phra
Nakhon in October will be officiated by its recently appointed general
manager, Metta Boonyaritipong.
Metta makes the move to Centra by Centara Hotel Bangkok Phra Nakhon
from Centara Sonrisa Residences & Suites Sriracha, where she served
as general manager since July 2020.
The seasoned hotelier has come a long way in the hospitality
industry. She started in southern Thailand as personal assistant to the
group general manager for Centara resorts in Suratthani, before swiftly
rising through the ranks in Centara Koh Chang Tropicana Resort.
Metta subsequently made the shift to Chonburi to preside over two
hotels – Centara Pattaya Hotel and Centara Nova Hotel & Spa – which
culminated in her becoming the hotel manager for both properties.
Centara Sonrisa Residences & Suites Sriracha was where she
assumed her first general manager position. During her time there, she
boosted hotel performance and profitability, while nimbly navigating the
challenging period betweeb 2020 and 2021.
“We have closely witnessed Khun Metta’s career growth and shared in
her success throughout the years. She is a very effective leader and
manager, and we are delighted to have her head up our new hotel in the
storied quarter of Phra Nakhon in Bangkok,” said David Good, executive
vice president — Hotel Operations of Centara Hotels & Resorts.
The upcoming hotel Metta will be helming is located near Khaosan
Road, a short distance from Sam Yot MRT subway station. Centra by
Centara Hotel Phra Nakhon is Centara's fifth property in Bangkok which
is positioned as a base for travellers looking to explore the city’s
historic district, including the Grand Palace, Wat Pho, National Museum,
Pak Khlong Talat flower market, and the historic district’s street food
and family-run eateries.
